WysLife is an incredible suite of software that will make the nightmare of buying, selling, and managing a home a whole lot easier. Years of experience, and frustrations, with the complications of real estate have led us to understand that the current model of how to do this is broken.
That’s why we are here and here is how it all started.
The Problem
WysLife was started when the CEO, Michael Wystrach, bought his first house in Tucson, Arizona. The transaction was a mess and it felt like he had to put his life on hold for 45 days just to close the transaction. Anytime he needed an answer he had to call his agent, who then had to call someone else. This would often take 2-3 days for him to get answers to simple questions. Setting up inspections or appraisals seemed like it needed an act of god to get them to happen. His loan officer and real estate agent never talked and the escrow officer never had the documents she needed. Phone calls, emails and faxes were made by the hundreds and still no one knew what was going on or what still needed to get done.
While Michael had to stay on top of every stage of the transaction he also needed to get bids on services for his new home. He needed a landscaper, a pool cleaner, a security company, a home insurance provider, a moving company, plus he wanted to remodel the bathroom. In the end he went with the first people who called back, even though he later found out they were also the most expensive.
He was doing all of this while trying to work and live his normal life. Lets just say every area of his life suffered significantly. When the transaction was finally done the problems only got worse.
He had documents everywhere. Some in paper-form, some on his computer, and others in his email account. At one point, his escrow officer handed him a file that was two inches thick. He wanted to get organized but he just didn’t have hundreds of hours to file documents (it doesn’t help that he also hates filing). He didn’t even know what half the documents were.
When he did need one of the documents he could never find anything thing he needed. Something simple like getting the name and number of his termite inspector could take hours.
This problem only got worse as invoices, policies, warranties and a million other documents seemed to show up daily. Water leaks sprang up, he needed a new a/c system and still wanted to remodel that bathroom. Each one of these tasks would literally put his life on hold. He spent hours looking for some kind of online solution; something that would make owning a home a lot easier. While there were plenty of cool tools out there none of them worked together, they really didn’t save that much time and in the end caused just as much work.
There had to be an answer. Finally he realized that if he wanted a solution he would have to put together a team and build it. Thus we have WysLife, a suite of software tools that makes owning a home fun and easy.
The Answer
The WysLife experience starts with WysLoop – a simple transaction management platform for everyone involved in the buying and selling of real estate. With features like document storage, sharing, messaging, group chat, central event list, and smart checklists it ‘s incredibly simple for everyone to collaborate and stay informed in each stage in the process, as well as keep the massive paperwork trail that accrues with every transaction at bay.
WysHome is our homeowner portal that aids in the process by not only keeping the potential buyer informed through WysHome’s interaction with WysLoop. Once the transaction is completed, WysHome gives the owner control over all of the tasks involved with actually owning the home by letting them schedule upcoming events and maintenance, store important home documents, and even contact approved vendors for all of the things that come up along the way.
WysVendor’s aim is simple; To make it easier for contractors to form long-term relationships with new homeowners. Our software makes it easy to approach a new contact looking for your particular service. We also make it simple to create accurate bids by providing relevant information to the vendor, as well as providing a single portal to upload documents, warranties and invoices to the client once the job is completed.
